NovaSure Procedure Recovery: What to Expect

The recovery time for the NovaSure procedure is typically relatively short. Some women are able to return to their regular activities within a day or two of the procedure, while others may feel the need to rest for a few days more. The full recovery process may take between a few weeks and a few months for some women. During this time, women may experience light bleeding, spotting, and mild cramping. Sexual activity typically can resume after a few weeks' time in order to ensure proper healing. It's generally advisable for women to abstain from using tampons while menstruation may not resume yet and to consult with their physician about the exact timeframe for doing so.
