Understanding Disc Desiccation, Protrusion & Annular Fissures
Disc desiccation with a 3 mm broad posterior central protrusion and a high signal annular fissure means that the intervertebral disc is dehydrated, has a bulge (protrusion) at the back (posterior) and in the center (central), and has a tear or separation in the outer ring (annular fissure) of the disc. This is often referred to as a "posterior central protrusion disc".Cavities - Related Articles
