Effective Ways to Eliminate Bacteria and Prevent Cavities
Dental hygiene should not be skimped on. Bacteria in the mouth can cause fissures within your teeth that trap more bacteria and start eating away at your teeth causing cavities. Here's how your should clean your mouth daily.Things You'll Need
- tooth brush
- tooth paste
- mouth wash
- flouride rinse
- floss
Instructions
Brush your teeth for 2 minutes, designating 1/2 minute per quadrant of your mouth.
Rinse with water.
Floss as you normally should
Now rinse your mouth with a mouth wash like Listerine as directed on bottle (usually it's 1/2 minute). If it stings don't worry because this means it's killing bacteria in your mouth. After a few more days of use, it won't sting as much or at all because most of the bacteria is gone.
Gurgle with the mouth wash. Do not swallow.
You may rinse with water if you like at this point.
Rinse your moth with a flouride rinse (I use ACT by Johnson &Johnson's, it's red color) as directed on bottle.
