Naval Cavity: Anatomy, Location, and Relation to the Abdominal Cavity
Naval cavity, is that space which extends from above, where bounded by the diaphragm, from below; from behind by lumbar vertebrae and psoas muscle; from either side, by the quadratus lumborum, and the transversalis muscle which separates it anteriorly from abdominal viscera.
