Pancreatic Juice & Bile: Production, Functions & Digestion
The pancreas produces pancreatic juice, which contains digestive enzymes such as amylase, lipase, and protease, as well as bicarbonate ions to neutralize stomach acid and create an alkaline environment in the small intestine. Bile, on the other hand, is produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. It aids in the digestion and absorption of fats by emulsifying them, breaking them down into smaller droplets. Bile is released into the small intestine when needed. Therefore, the juice that comes from the pancreas is pancreatic juice, and the juice that comes from the bile is bile.Pancreatic Cancer - Related Articles
