Supernumerary Ovaries: Understanding Triple Ovarian Development
Normally, a woman has two ovaries, one on each side of the uterus. However, in rare cases, a woman may be born with three ovaries. This condition is called supernumerary ovary and it occurs when an extra ovary develops during embryonic development.
