Ovarian cancer can occur at any age, but it is most common in women over the age of 50. The chance of developing ovarian cancer increases with age. About half of all ovarian cancers occur in women aged 63 or older and the average age of women at the time of diagnosis is 63. However, younger women can also develop ovarian cancer and it is important to be aware of the risk factors and symptoms.
