Understanding Uterine Changes During Ovulation: What to Expect
The uterus does not swell during ovulation. Ovulation is the process by which a mature egg is released from one of the ovaries. It occurs about 14 days before the start of a woman's period. During ovulation, the ovary releases the egg, which travels down the fallopian tube. If the egg is fertilized by a sperm, it will implant in the lining of the uterus and begin to grow. If the egg is not fertilized, it will be shed with the menstrual blood during the woman's period.Ovarian Cancer - Related Articles
