Dr. J: The Origin of His Nickname and Education
Julius Erving, commonly known as Dr. J, does not hold a doctorate degree in any academic field.
His nickname "Dr. J" was initially given to him in high school by his coach because he was skilled in every aspect of the game, but it wasn't a reference to a doctorate degree.
