Give Away Vessel Responsibilities: SOLAS & Safe Navigation

Responsibility of Give Away Vessel:

- Maintains radiotelephone watch on VHF-FM channel-16/DSC in accordance with SOLAS regulations. For fishing boats without DSC facilities maintain listening watch on VHF-FM channel-16.

- Maintains a continuous visual lookout for approaching vessels.

- Give ample prior notice to other vessel on her intended maneuver before executing it when navigating in confined or congested waters.
