Understanding Fertility Awareness and Pregnancy Risk
There are no "safe" days not to be pregnant. While there are times of the month when you are less likely to conceive, there is always a chance of pregnancy if you have unprotected sex. The only way to be 100% sure you will not get pregnant is to abstain from sex or use a reliable method of birth control.
Some methods of birth control are more effective than others. The most effective methods, such as intrauterine devices (IUDs) and birth control implants, are 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. Other methods, such as condoms and birth control pills, are less effective, but can still be very effective if used correctly and consistently.
If you are concerned about getting pregnant, talk to your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional. They can help you choose the best method of birth control for you.
