Treatment
Contact your healthcare provider for an appointment to confirm that your baby has pinworms.
Fill the prescription from your healthcare provider for your baby and begin administering the medication as directed. The most common medications for pinworm infection are mebendazole or albendazole, but your healthcare provider may choose another. Keep in mind, however, that a mild case of pinworms may go away without any treatment.
Wash all clothing and bedding for all family members in hot water to destroy the worms and eggs.
Open curtains and blinds during the day, as pinworm eggs are sensitive to sunlight.
