Instructions
Mash potatoes for the whole family. Purée baby's potatoes with expressed breast milk or formula.
Smash a banana with a fork until smooth. This is the closest thing to fast food for babies.
Peel butternut squash and cut it into chunks. Steam the chunks until soft and mash them with a fork. Butternut, acorn and other winter squashes are great sources of vitamin A.
Make leek-and-potato soup by cooking chopped leeks and peeled potatoes in unsalted broth. Blend them in the food processor or blender.
Look for fresh persimmons at the market. Peel and core them, then steam and mash the pulp.
Roast whole sweet potatoes in the oven. Peel and mash them until smooth.
