Trachea: Location, Function & Anatomy - A Comprehensive Guide
The trachea, also known as the windpipe, is a flexible tube about 10-12 cm long that connects the larynx (voice box) to the lungs. It serves as the main passageway for air to enter and exit the respiratory system. The trachea is located in the anterior part of the neck and extends down into the chest cavity, where it branches into two smaller tubes, called the left and right bronchi, which enter the respective lungs.Toothache - Related Articles
