Kitten Teething: Soothing Relief & Helpful Tips
Provide teethers. Kittens will naturally want to chew on things to relieve their discomfort. Offer your kitten a variety of teethers, such as soft toys, rubber rings, or catnip-filled toys. Make sure the teethers are small enough for your kitten to hold in their mouth, but not so small that they can swallow them.
_Here are some additional tips to help your kitten through teething:_
* Offer cold treats, such as frozen yogurt, ice cubes, or cold chicken broth. The cold will help to soothe your kitten's gums.
* Gently massage your kitten's gums with your finger. This will help to relieve pain and discomfort.
* Feed your kitten soft food. Hard food can be painful for your kitten's teeth.
* Keep your kitten away from sharp objects. Your kitten may be more likely to chew on things if their gums are sore.
