How to Replace an Oral-B Battery
Using an electric toothbrush is an important tool in your effort to keep your teeth clean. According to the Oral-B website, power toothbrushes provide superior plaque removal as compared to a regular toothbrush. The Oral-B website goes on to say that in an independent study conducted in 2005 found that brushes that worked with a rotation oscillation action removed more plaque and reduced gingivitis more effectively than manual brushes in the short and in the long term. Having a fresh battery in your Oral-B brush will ensure that you are getting the maximum benefit.
Instructions
Unscrew the bottom portion of the toothbrush where the batteries are housed. Turn the bottom portion counter-clockwise while maintaining a tight grip on the other half of the toothbrush.
Hold the toothbrush right-side up and slowly remove the bottom half. The old batteries should be sitting in the bottom half of the toothbrush. Put the top half of the toothbrush down.
Turn the bottom half upside down so that the old batteries fall out. Use your free hand to catch them.
Place new batteries in the bottom half of the toothbrush pointing in the same direction that the old ones were. Pick up the top half of the toothbrush.
Screw the bottom half of the toothbrush back into the top half in a clockwise direction. Turn the toothbrush on to make sure it works once it is screwed back into place.
