What is a Temporary Partial Denture?

Temporary partial dentures (TPDs), also known as flippers or Maryland bridges, are removable dental appliances used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are usually made of acrylic resin and are held in place by clasps or wires that attach to the adjacent teeth.
