Proper Tooth Cleaning with Toothpicks: A Guide
Oral care is an important part of overall physical health. Teeth are subject to decay if you do not brush and floss them daily. Additionally, you should visit your dentist for regular dental checkups. The dentist will be able to ensure that your teeth are properly cared for, and that there are no underlying problems. You should brush after every meal, but if you cannot do so immediately, remove food particles and plaque with a toothpick.
Instructions
Scrape the plaque off of the surface of your teeth by using slow, gentle scraping motions. Move the pick up and down your teeth.
Dispose of the pick and pick up another.
Remove the plaque and food particles between your teeth by pointing the narrow tip of the pick in between the crevices and gently scraping in between the teeth. Do not press to hard, or else the tip of the pick with break.
