Fetal Positioning at 32 Weeks: Understanding Baby Turns
It is possible for your baby to turn on their own at any time during the third trimester. This includes a baby that has been breech turning cephalic, or a baby that has been cephalic turning breech. Babies also move from lie to lie at this age. For example, a previously transverse lie can spontaneously turn cephalic. This can happen multiple times through out the third trimester up until labor as the fetal head and trunk become the dominant factors rather than fetal lie.
A baby that is lying transverse is always a potential candidate for an external version procedure to try and turn them. This is something to discuss with your healthcare provider so they can refer you if necessary.
