How to Put on a Knee Support
Every year thousands of Americans experience knee injuries. These injuries may be the result of sports injuries, excess weight, arthritis, infection or other health-related issues. Serious problems may require surgery, but in other cases rest and medication may help. If a knee feels weak and requires additional support, a knee support may help with the pain and discomfort.Things You'll Need
- Knee support
Instructions
Purchase a quality knee support from a drug or discount store. Knee supports are one size fits all and provide extra support and protection to the knee area.
Place the knee support on the knee, smoothing the material to prevent bunching and wrinkling. The opening to the support should be on the kneecap. Wrap the middle strap around the knee and attach firmly with the fastener to the body of the knee support.
Wrap the upper and lower straps around the body of the knee support. Adjust the straps so the fit is secure, yet comfortable.
