Liver Damage and Cerebral Hemorrhage: A Complex Relationship
The abdominal organ that would attribute to a severe cerebral hemorrhage is the liver. The liver is responsible for clearing toxins from the blood, and a severe cerebral hemorrhage can release a large amount of toxins into the bloodstream. This can lead to liver damage, which can in turn lead to a number of complications, including:
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
- Ascites (fluid buildup in the abdomen)
- Encephalopathy (confusion, disorientation, and other neurological problems)
- Liver failure
In some cases, a severe cerebral hemorrhage can also lead to death.
