Abdominal Inguinal Ring: Definition, Function & Anatomy
The abdominal inguinal ring is an opening within the abdominal wall located within the inguinal canal. It is normally present in males but may be present in females as well. In males, the abdominal inguinal ring is where the spermatic cord exits the abdomen and enters the inguinal canal on its way to the scrotum.
