Understanding Lotion-Like Cervical Mucus After Ovulation
Yes, it is normal to have lotion-like cervical mucus (CM) following ovulation. Estrogen levels rise in the days leading up to ovulation, causing CM to become thinner, clearer, and more slippery, resembling egg whites. After ovulation, progesterone levels rise, leading to a drop in estrogen levels. This change in hormone levels can result in CM becoming thicker, creamier, or lotion-like in texture. Lotion-like CM is a common sign of the luteal phase and does not necessarily indicate pregnancy.Ovarian Cancer - Related Articles
