I had a stress test before having spinal surgery i have been told an enlarged heart and asked to see cardiologist do you know why?
There are a few reasons why you may have been asked to see a cardiologist after a stress test showed an enlarged heart.
* To rule out any underlying heart conditions. An enlarged heart can be a sign of several different heart conditions, including:
* Coronary artery disease
* Heart valve disease
* Myocardial infarction (heart attack)
* Heart failure
* To assess your risk of heart disease. An enlarged heart can increase your risk of developing heart disease, especially if you have other risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.
* To develop a treatment plan. If you are diagnosed with a heart condition, your cardiologist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that can help to improve your heart health and reduce your risk of complications.
It is important to see a cardiologist if you have been asked to do so after a stress test showed an enlarged heart. This will allow your doctor to rule out any underlying heart conditions and develop a treatment plan that can help to protect your heart health.
