What does a paramedic mean when they say eyes are pearl?

Eyes that are "pearl" have a bluish-white discoloration as a result of retinal ischemia (i.e. no blood pressure at the back of the eye). This is one indication a patient went through asystole/PEA before being resuscitated successfully.
