Where are rods in the eye located?
Rods are located in the outer layer of the retina, which is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. The retina is made up of several layers of cells, with the rods and cones (the other type of photoreceptor cell) being the outermost layer. Rods are more sensitive to low levels of light than cones, and they are responsible for vision in dim light conditions.Laser Eye Surgery - Related Articles
