Becoming an Anesthesiologist: Educational Requirements & Age
In the United States, to become a licensed anesthesiologist, you need to:
1. Complete a bachelor's degree (4 years).
2. Take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
3. Complete medical school (4 years).
4. Pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
5. Complete a residency program in anesthesiology (3-4 years).
So, it is not possible for a 16 year old with a GED to become an anesthesiologist, as they would not have the necessary education and training.
