How do you convert to booster seat?
1. Check your child's age and weight. Most children are ready to transition to a booster seat between the ages of 4 and 8 years old, and when they weigh between 40 and 80 pounds.2. Choose a booster seat that meets the following safety standards:
* Is certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
* Has a lap-and-shoulder belt
* Has a high back and a rigid seat structure
* Has proper label and instructions
3. Install the booster seat in the vehicle. Follow the instructions from manufacture for installing your booster seat.
4. Make sure your child is properly seated in the booster seat. The lap belt should be snug across their hips, and the shoulder belt should be snug across their chest.
5. Explain to your child how to properly use the booster seat. Make sure they understand that they need to sit up straight and always wear their seatbelt.
