NFPA 70E 2018: CPR/AED Requirements for Electricians - What You Need to Know
According to the changes in NFPA 70E-2018, CPR/AED training is recommended for all electricians who will respond to electrical emergencies. However, it is not a mandatory requirement for all electrical workers. Instead, the employer is required to "create and implement an EPM program [Electrical preventive maintenance]... consistent with the risk assessment and including...procedures to address the safe performance of electrical work, 4.1.2(2)(B). CPR/AED training may be included as part of this electrical safety program, but it is not specifically mandated by NFPA 70E.CPR - Related Articles
