Infant CPR: Correct Chest Compression Technique & Angle
When giving CPR to an infant, you should not compress the chest at a 45-degree angle. Instead, you should place the infant on a firm surface and kneel beside them. Then, place the heel of one hand on the center of the infant's chest, between the nipples, and your other hand on top of it. Keep your elbows straight and press down 1/2 to 1 inch at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.CPR - Related Articles
