What is the fear of open places?
The fear of open places is called agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder that can make people fear and avoid places or situations that might cause them to feel trapped, helpless, or embarrassed. These places or situations can include open spaces such as parking lots, grocery stores, or public transportation; crowded places such as concert venues, sporting events, or movie theaters; and enclosed spaces such as tunnels or elevators. Agoraphobia can also include a fear of leaving the house or being in public alone. In severe cases, people with agoraphobia may become housebound and unable to go to work, school, or social events.Panic Attacks - Related Articles
