Flu Shot Injury & Workers' Compensation: What You Need to Know
Workers' compensation is a state-mandated insurance program that provides benefits to employees who are injured or become ill in the course of their employment. Coverage varies somewhat, so consult the laws in your own state. In almost all instances, however, comp does not cover common illnesses - including those contracted on premises - because they cannot necessarily attributed to conditions of employment.
On the other hand, some states include injuries resulting from mandatory vaccinations that occur in the course of employment as exceptions - but not all. As always, when in doubt, contact your State Workers' Compensation office.
