Understanding and Reducing Under-Eye Bags for Teens
Undereye bags are not so serious that they require a trip to the hospital. Still, as a young person, you might get upset at having them. Several lifestyle factors can cause a 12 year old to have bags under the eyes; these include stress, lack of sleep, dehydration and allergic reaction. Fortunately, by taking a few preventative measures, you can keep this area calm and under control.Things You'll Need
- Chopped cucumbers
- Two spoons
- Tea bags
Instructions
Apply cool items to the eye area if you are pressed for time. In a pinch, this will relax you and help relieve the puffiness. Some items to choose from are chopped cucumbers, two spoons you've kept in the freezer and chilled tea bags.
Eat fruits and vegetables regularly and stay hydrated. Dehydration can cause bags under the eyes; this may be a result of excess sodium in the diet from salty foods. Also, avoid caffeinated beverages including soda, energy drinks and coffee because they can also lead to dehydration.
Plan out each day to make sure that you have enough time for school, your activities, homework assignments and eight hours of sleep. Sleep is one way that the body relieves stress. If you don't get enough of it, the bags under you eyes may persist as a sign of fatigue.
