Penicillin does not cause positive pregnancy tests. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the developing placenta during pregnancy. Penicillin is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections and does not affect hCG levels or pregnancy test results.
