Can tegertol give a false pregnancy test?
There is no evidence to suggest that tegretol can give a false pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. Tegretol, also known as carbamazepine, is an anticonvulsant medication used to treat epilepsy and certain types of nerve pain. It does not interfere with hCG production or affect the accuracy of pregnancy tests.Pregnancy & Health - Related Articles
