Late Period, Pregnancy Symptoms & Negative Test: What Does It Mean?
If you are 8 days late for your period and have several pregnancy symptoms, including an hCG level of 2, it's possible you could still be pregnant. However, a negative pregnancy test generally means that you are not pregnant.
It's important to note that pregnancy tests measure the levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine or blood. hCG is produced by the placenta after implantation has occurred. If you have a negative pregnancy test, it means that your hCG levels are below the detectable threshold.
However, it's also possible to have a false negative pregnancy test, especially if you test too early or if your hCG levels are very low. In some cases, it may take a few days or even weeks for your hCG levels to rise to detectable levels.
If you are experiencing multiple pregnancy symptoms, including an hCG level of 2, and have a negative test, it's recommended that you see a doctor or healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may recommend repeating the pregnancy test or performing a blood test to measure your hCG levels.
