Period During Pregnancy: Causes & What to Know
It is not necessarily wrong if a woman continues to get her period while pregnant. In some cases, women may experience what is known as implantation bleeding, which can occur around the time when a period is expected. Implantation bleeding typically occurs 10-14 days after conception, and can be mistaken for a period.
However, it is uncommon for women to have regular menstrual periods throughout a pregnancy. If a woman is pregnant and concerned about continued menstrual-like bleeding, it is important to consult a healthcare provider to determine the cause of the bleeding and to ensure the well-being of the pregnancy.
