Surrogacy: Determining the Baby's DNA and Blood Type
When a woman acts as a surrogate mother for another person, the baby will have the blood type and DNA of the biological parents who provided the egg and sperm used in the conception process.
The surrogate mother's genetics do not contribute to the baby's blood type or DNA since they are not related. The role of the surrogate mother involves carrying and giving birth to the child on behalf of the intended parents.
