Can You Get Pregnant After Fallopian Tube Removal? | Fertility Options
If a woman has her fallopian tubes removed, it is not possible for her to become pregnant through sexual intercourse. The fallopian tubes are the pathway through which eggs travel from the ovaries to the uterus. Without fallopian tubes, the egg cannot reach the uterus to be fertilised.
However, it is possible for women who have had their tubes removed to become pregnant through in vitro fertilisation (IVF). IVF involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries, fertilising them with sperm in a laboratory dish, and then transferring the resulting embryos to the uterus.
