Millau Viaduct Suicides: Facts, Prevention Measures & History

The Millau Viaduct has seen several suicides since its opening in 2004, with the first one occurring just a few months after its inauguration. As of 2019, there have been a total of 23 suicides on the bridge. In an effort to prevent further suicides, the viaduct's operator, Eiffage, has installed safety nets along the sides of the bridge.
