Understanding Who Delivers Babies: Obstetricians & Delivery

Babies are usually delivered by obstetricians, also known as ob-gyns. Obstetricians are doctors who specialize in pregnancy, labor, and delivery. They have completed medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. Obstetricians are responsible for monitoring the health of the mother and baby throughout pregnancy, as well as delivering the baby. They may also perform other procedures related to pregnancy, such as cesarean sections and epidurals.
