Proper Head Tilt for Rescue Breathing: Adults & Infants - CPR Guide
For an adult:
1. Gently tilt the person's head back so that the chin is pointing upward.
2. This will help to open the airway and prevent the tongue from blocking it.
For a child or baby:
1. Place one hand on the child or baby's forehead and gently push it back while lifting the chin.
2. This will help to open the airway and prevent the tongue from blocking it.
