Homemade Baby Food Recipes for Fall: Easy & Nutritious
The harvest season is a great time for homemade baby food. Here are a few ideas for feeding baby well in the fall.Things You'll Need

- Sugar Pie pumpkin

- baby food grinder, blender or food processors
Instructions
Make homemade applesauce. Peel and core apples, then simmer them with a bit of water, covered, until tender. Purée in the blender.
Scoop the flesh out of a pumpkin that has been halved and roasted. Mash well with a fork. Cooking pumpkins such as Sugar Pies work best.
Mash parsnips just as you would potatoes. Peel and cut them into chunks, then steam and purée.
Bake, steam or poach pears. Baby may even be able to eat an extra-ripe pear that is simply peeled and mashed.
Serve babies cooked, puréed figs. These can be seedy, so wait until your baby is 9 to 10 months old.
