How to Drink Gelatin to Help With Appetite Control
Drinking liquid gelatin is a dieting trick to fight off hunger pangs without consuming a lot of calories. You can drink it before meals to fill you a little bit before eating, or have it as a snack. It's also a good way to consume more water, and the gelatin is said to help burn fat, according to the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Using sugar-free gelatin with an artificial sweetener such as Splenda reduces the empty calories you would normally take in if you used white table sugar for flavoring.Things You'll Need
- 1 package flavored gelatin
- 2 cups water
- Small pot
- Pitcher
- Wooden spoon
- 16 oz. plastic tumbler
- Artificial sweetener
Instructions
Pour the flavored gelatin into the pitcher.
Boil 1 cup of water.
Pour the boiling water into the pitcher.
Stir the water and the gelatin with a wooden spoon for two minutes or until the gelatin is dissolved.
Add 1 cup of cold water to the pitcher and stir for another minute.
Pour the liquid gelatin mixture into the tumbler. Add artificial sweetener to taste.
Drink the liquid as soon as possible because it will eventually start to gel.
