How to Bleach False Teeth
Many people bleach their false teeth at home with household bleach. This can be an effective way to clean dentures or whiten them. Bleaching false teeth has also been proven to kill microorganisms that may be existing in your false teeth. Even though bleaching false teeth is the most common type of homemade false teeth cleaner, it can cause gum irritation if you do not do it properly.Things You'll Need
- 1 teaspoon household bleach 1 cup water
Instructions
Find a clean container that is big enough to hold the ingredients and your dentures.
Pour 1 cup of cool water into the container. Do not use hot water because it can cause the false teeth to weaken.
Add 1 teaspoon of household bleach to the water and stir.
Put your false teeth into the container and let them set for about 15 minutes. If you have metal components on your dentures, such as with partial dentures, leaving them in the bleach for too long can cause the metal to corrode.
Remove your false teeth from the container and rinse thoroughly with cool water for one minute or longer.
