Directions for Using Crest Whitening Strips
Crest recommends that you use Crest Whitening Strips every six months. Some customers will need to use the strips more often to maintain whiteness if they use products that stain teeth such as coffee. Crest also insists that Crest Whitening Strips aren't a substitute for regular dental care. The strips whiten teeth but don't offer any value to your mouth's overall health. Whitening is purely cosmetic. Crest strips require that you whiten the upper and lower teeth separately. You will need a total of 28 days to whiten all of your teeth.Things You'll Need
- Crest Whitening Strips
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
Instructions
Open the blue pouch marked "Upper" and remove one strip.
Separate the zig-zag slit to expose the edge of that textured white strip.
Peel the strip from the clear backing.
Stand in the front of the mirror.
Line the strip along the upper front teeth. The gel side of the strip should be placed against your teeth. Make sure to align the top of the strip with your gum line.
Gently rub your finger across the strip to ensure that it is making good contact with the surface of each tooth.
Fold the bottom of the remaining strip behind your upper teeth.
Wear the strip for 30 minutes and then remove it.
Brush your teeth with toothpaste and rinse your mouth with water. This will help to remove any leftover gel.
Repeat steps 1 through 9 one more time before going to bed. You should whiten the upper teeth twice a day for 14 days, or use all 28 upper teeth strips.
Repeat the steps to whiten the lower teeth. Don't whiten the lower teeth at the same time as you are whitening the upper teeth. The lower strips have a slightly different shape but work the same. Remember to keep the lower strip on for 30 minutes, twice a day for 14 days, and brush and rinse your mouth after each use.
