Understanding Yellow Eyes: Causes & When to See a Doctor
The white of the eyes, also known as the sclera, does not turn yellow from drinking alcohol. The yellowing of the sclera is typically a sign of an underlying medical condition, such as jaundice, which is caused by a buildup of bilirubin, a yellow pigment produced when red blood cells are broken down. Jaundice can be a symptom of liver disease, gallbladder disease, or certain infections, and should be evaluated by a doctor. Alcohol consumption can affect the liver, but it is not the sole cause of yellowing of the eyes.Teeth Whitening - Related Articles
