Respiratory System vs. Circulatory System: Understanding Veins

Veins are not in the respiratory system. Veins are part of the circulatory system, which is responsible for transporting blood and oxygen throughout the body. Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart, while arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart.

The respiratory system is responsible for the intake and exchange of gases in the body. It consists of the lungs, airways, and respiratory muscles. The lungs are the main organs of the respiratory system, where oxygen is taken in and carbon dioxide is released.
