Risks associated with bronchoscopy:

* Bleeding, usually minor

* Infection, such as pneumonia

* Airway Injury, such as bruising, bleeding, or tears

* Cardiac arrhythmia, due to electrical charges used to visualize your airways

* Collapsed airway, when a bronchus plug partially dislodges and obstructs an airway in the lungs

* Aspiration, which occurs when you inhale food, secretions, or other substances
