Urine Storage: How the Bladder Holds Waste After Kidney Filtration
Urine is stored in the urinary bladder after it is made in the kidneys. The kidneys filter waste products from the blood and produce urine as a byproduct. The urine then flows through the ureters, which are two tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder. The bladder stores the urine until it is released through the urethra during urination.Kidney Disease - Related Articles
